About Song: This song is off of Pharrell’s recently released album G I R L. The album was only 10 tracks and was a bit of a let down but how could it not be with such high expectations. Happy was of course the lead single from the album but along with that and this Alicia Keys track track I really liked the outro ‘It Girl’ .
Favorite Part:
Though it’s a little repetitive I really like the hook especially when Alicia Keys sings it. It’s easy listening and it makes me feel good.

About Artist: This mix is only one track off of a tape by Amerigo Gazaway called “Yasiin Gaye: The Departure”. Amerigo is a producer who who has done some truly awesome projects, one which is a Tribe Called Quest vs Pharcyde album and one that is full of Fela Kuti remixes. This Yasiin Gaye project has been taken down by the RIAA which is complete fucking bullshit.
About Song: This was a single from the project but you should definitely check out the rest of the album. Oh wait, you won’t be able to download the free album because the RIAA sent a cease and desist letter and threatened to sue.

About Artist: Big Boi is one hald of Outkast and he has recently released a couple awesome remixes of songs from his last album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. Big Boi is from the south as it Big K.R.I.T. (not very famous but has a hard core following and is well respected). UGK (the duo of Bun B and the now deceased Pimp C) are also know as the southern underground kings.
About Song: This song is a mashup of sorts of Gossip (a single off of Big Boi’s last album) and Big Oyster Cult’s ’70s song Godzilla. Big Boi does and awesome job reworking the original rock song into this awesome remix.
Favorite Part:
The rock meets hip hop thing really works in this track.
I love when it cuts out and the vocal just say ‘Godzilla!’ …and I love the electric guitars and the hard bass drum.

About Artist: This join is a collaboration from compilation mixtape by DJ Whoo Kid, DJ Skee & DJ MLK, called SXEW Vol 1. which was released in early February. The tape is in anticipation of the South By South West music festival. The mixtape has lots of good, bump in your car, bump in the club songs, mostly existing songs that are hot right now with a little remix twist on them. Hustle Gang is the name of T.I’s crew, to which Iggy Azalea recently signed (Hustle Gang = Grand Hustle basically). Iggy Azalea is one of my fav’s an happens to be from Australia. Young Dro is also a part of that crew. T.I. is the king of the south and while his commercial peak seems to have past he is still a big name in Hip Hop.
