DOWNLOAD MP3 BoB-OutOfMyMindftNickiMinaj.mp3 Summary: Sometimes the world is so messed up it makes me feel Out Of My Mind #EmbraceTheMadness. This is not new but a good song to jumpstart the week. About Artist: B.o.B. is one of my favorite artists. Not only can he rap but he’s a complete musician. While his career has taken a sharp turn toward pop music I’m still a big Bobby Ray fan. Check out other B.o.B songs from gregshiphop (there’s a lot of them). Nicki Minaj came from her hip hop roots to be one of today’s giant pop starts. About Song: This song isn’t new. It is a track off of B.o.B.’s 2012 sophomore album “Strange Clouds”. Favorite Part: I like around 2:22 when B.o.B. is talking ending in “how am I supposed to pronounce this shit” right before the beat drops.
And the beat is just awesome! Other: Nicki Minaj Wikipedia B.o.B. Wikipedia
DOWNLOAD MP3 BoB-StillInThisBitchftTIJuicyJ.mp3 Summary: This one’s a banger. Loud speakers required! About Artist: If you’ve followed this blog at all you know that B.o.B is one of my favorite artists! He plays instruments, he produces, And he and fcking rap. He comes outta Georgia and while he is known more for his pop music (launching the career of Bruno Mars with the song Nothing On You) he is also keeps it so real on the hip hop world. T.I. also comes out of Atlanta and signed BoB to his Grand Hustle music label a few years back. T.I. has long been recognized as one of the hip hop kings of the south. Juicy J is yet another southern rapper. Juicy J has been in the game since the early 90s as a member of Three 6 Mafia. While Juicy J has always been around he’s seen a huge resurgence as a solo artist with his recent single Bandz a Make her Dance. This track was produced by Mike Will whos been crankin out many hot beats from Atlanta the last several years (check him out!). About Song: This song is off of BoB’s 2012 mixtape Fuck Em We Ball, which was a kind of return to loud southern rap songs. Favorite Part: Well the beat speaks for itself. This one you just can’t help but crank!
I’m pretty sure I like B.o.B’s verse best. And my favorite part is at 0:44
DOWNLOAD MP3 Lloyd-LayItDownRemixftBoBRockCity.mp3 Summary: Pop Hop About Artist: Lloyd is a Pop R&B singer. I generally hate the kind of music Llyod makes and I gotta say this song walks a fine line really close to the kind of song that drives me crazy (in a bad way). Rock City is some Caribean R&B duo, don’t know much about them. And then there’s B.o.B. who is the sole reason this song made it up here. If you don’t know, I love B.o.B and you can click HERE for more B.o.B. songs on gregshiphop.com About Song: This song is a super successful single off of Lloyds next album which comes out in April, and just for the record I could care less about this album. There is also another remix of this song which features Young Jeezy and R Kelly which you can listen to HERE. This song is super repetitive which I don’t like but it IS super catchy and BoB’s part is pretty cool (like always). Favorite Part:
Of course the best part is B.o.B’s part 0:30-1:10.
“I do not tap out, round two, round three,
cause I’m never going down like Muhammad Ali,
call me Cashis, when we hit the mattress
you be like oh yup (yup), baby call me randy savage (ooh ya)
you say you want me but be careful what you askin
causeI beat it up like delta does your baggage” (0:53-1:10)
I like how the beat drops out here at 0:58.
DOWNLOAD MP3 BoB-HighftPlayboyTre.mp3 Summary: Energy+Rap+Beat = Solid B.o.B About Artist: B.o.B. (aka Bobby Ray) is one of my favorite artists and you can read other B.o.B posts HERE to read a better bio and hear other tracks. Playboy Tre is a rapper that is one of B.o.B’s original crew. CyHi da Prince recently signed with Kanye’s GOOD Music and Bun B is the famous and well respected rapper from Texas (one half of UGK). About Song: This is off of B.o.B’s most recent (though not all that new) mixtape No Genre. Favorite Part:
I love the crazy wacky beat especially when it drops at 0:15.
I like everyone’s verse but especially Bun B’s at 4:09 Other
B.o.B has nominated for 5 Grammys the other night and didn’t win a single one, keeping him Grammyless. I honestly can’t believe that Nothing On You (ft Bruno Mars) didn’t win ANYTHING. To deny that that was one of the biggest songs of the year is just ridiciulous. Check out his performance at the 2011 Grammys below. There is so much talent there between BoB, Bruno Mars, and Janelle Monae. When Bruno sings BoB is on the Guitar when Janelle sing Bruno is on the Drums, I mean THESE GUYS ARE MUSICAL!
DOWNLOAD MP3 BoB-Fame.mp3 Summary: This song really pumps me up. The horns, the rap ahhh, heaven. About Artist: I’ve posted B.o.B (Bobby Ray) probably more than any other artist at this point so just look here if you want to reader a better bio from other posts. About Song:This song is one of my favorites off of B.o.B’s debut album B.o.B presents the Adventure of Bobby Ray. It was produced by a duo that goes by the name The Knux, who I’ve since really gotten into (check them out). The Knux samples a version of Summertime from the forgetable movie Stuck On You (which I never saw). I have to saw I was born the like this song. The genre of the track with it’s horns, guitar, syncopated beats, I mean I would die to get the official instrumental version. Not only that but B.o.B has some great verses over it. The verses are nothing crazzzy lyrically but it’s solid and works so well rhythmically with background. Favorite Part: First I LOVE the track’s instruments and rythem, absolutely love it (that’s why I included the video of the sample below)
“And I’m sayin I really ain’t with that complaining
Just look at the picture I’m painting
Yeah I paid my rent, vacationing, take trips all around be equator then,
Come back to the A hit the stage again,
Then I go up in the booth where they cage me in,
Feel regular but then I go insane again,
If you witness the condition that my brain is in,
You would see I’m in hell where Satan is…” (1:02)
The Chorus where B.o.B says “that, that that, that” like at 1:44
Popular, everybody wanna be popular
Little kids just be watching us through binoculars and then they go to school and copy us,
But, hey I’m not knocking ya but how can yall not see? its obvious cuz cops just be plottin on us and poparazzi be spottin us,
Cuz everybody just wanna be on MTV or BET
Or maybe season MVP
Or maybe even just prom king or queen
But everybody can’t be a G. O to the D
And everybody can’t be O. to the B.
But I don’t know, maybe this just how its supposed to be” (1:48)
I especially love the part at 1:12 where he says everybody can’t be a G (and then spells GOD) to add a double meaning and then says everybody can’t be “o to the b” when he’s really saying everybody can’t B.o.B. Other Talib Kweli Wikipedia The Knux Wikipedia
Check out where B.o.B and The Knux found the sample. I never saw the movie but apparently it’s from a rendition of summertime off of the movie Stuck On You (which I never saw)
DOWNLOAD MP3 JCole-PassMeByftBoB.mp3 Summary: A little light for J Cole, but also pretty catchy. About Artist: J Cole is a young rapper, signed with Jay-Z’s RocNation. As an up and coming artist he has quite the following though his debut album still has no release date or title. His first major appearance was on one of only a few features on Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3. The only song of his that I’ve posted, though he has many good ones is Who Dat. This chorus of this song is sung by B.o.B (aka Bobby Ray) who I post way too much on this blog :) About Song: This song has been around for a little while now but it was recently rereleased with B.o.B on the hook. The track’s piano really adds to it catchiness which is why I put it up. The same piano really reminds me of Jay-Z’s Hard Knock Life, though thats just me. Other than that the rap is better on the 2nd and 3rd verse, the chorus is OK (though I really like simple beat and chord progression in the chrous). Favorite Part: “Hey, Dear Mr. Policeman
Hey am I wrong, aint you suppose to keep the peace man?
I coulda swore I was driving pretty peaceful
So why the hell is you pullin over me fo’?
Is it this black Mercedez? (Oh now I get it, I get it, I get it)
Or cause I’m black? Hmmm, maybe
Hey, tell me why my hands start sweatin’ and I hold my breath everytime that you get behind me
I turn my music down, so you won’t hear a sound, man I’m nervous like I got a couple pounds on me
You pulled me over, you frown on me
With your flashlight, tell me what do you see
Thug niggas, drug dealers, its a trip, every nigga in this whip got a mothafuckin college degree” (1:46)

Check out my other posts on B.o.B for more info on him. About Song: This song is off of his most recent mixtape No Genre (its free just search datpiff.com). There were about four songs I really like off the tape and this was one of them. Favorite Part: I love the way the beat is match with the sample and th piano part.
“It’s how we fucked the system in missionary position.” (0:45)

So therefore we go bang-bang,
